Our Big Day~

Today was real CRUNK!!! A couple of friends and I cheerleaded today for our school's basketball game. Our school's mascot is the mighty courgars! We previously practiced a variety of cheers weeks and days ago. One of our cheers is called...Shake you up...Two points more...Dribble...Don't Hate...and Go Cougars! Our team won of course, against our school's NYM (Nathaniel's Young Men). After the game, all the boys gave good game slaps to the opposing players. The cheerleaders did as well. Walking down the hall was super crunk!!! We, the cheerleaders went to our classrom alone because our class left earlier in the game. All the classes were crowding the halls and evryone was rooting for the cougars, allthough the game was now over and the cougars one. That goes to show you how much school spirit the fourth and fith graders have!!!

My new WIN.....

During the day of December 18th, 2008, I was apart of a very challenging contest. A SPELLING BEE!!! How cool is that? It was held at Chocrane Middle. Located in their auditorium. Unfortunately, I didn't win. The fair thing here is that I made it to the 7th round out of 8 rounds. Even though I didn't win, I'm still considered a winner for even trying. This girl from Chocrane won. This is Chocrane's 2nd year in a row winning the bee. I know that they are really proud of their students who made it to the community spelling bee. The staff at Chocrane Middle, that is. Now, let's disccuss the steps I took to making it all the way to the community spelling bee:

Step 1:
I won The classroom spelling bee.
Step 2:
I won the School wide spelling bee.
Step 3:
Winning the schol wide spelling bee lead me to compete in the community spelling bee at Chocrane.

If I would of accomplished the community spelling bee, I would have gone to the District spelling bee, which is where I compete against most the elementary and middle school's in my district.(3rd-8th graders) If I won that spelling bee, then I would of gone to the State spelling bee, and last but definitly not least, the National spelling bee! That would of been amazment to not only myself but friends, family, and my audience. Well, I guess I'll try next year.
